Vicky was a three-time MVP at the University of Alabama, where she earned All-American honors an impressive 14 times. Another Canadian-born athlete, Vicky came to the Mountain West Track Club in the fall of 1997. Since that time, she has seen her personal record in the 800 meters drop by nearly two seconds and became a Canadian National Champion for the second time in her career in that event (1992, 1999). In addition, Vicky continued to make 1999 one of her best years ever with a fourth place finish at the Pan American Games, held in Winnipeg, Canada and by being named to her first World Championship team held in Seville, Spain.

Vicky continues to be one of Canada's premier middle distance runners, representing Canada at major international competitions six times in her career, including the Commonwealth Games in 1994 and 1998 and the Pan American Games in 1995 and 1999.
